You work hard, every day, every year, to bring the best out of each of the singers in the ensembles you conduct. You help them shine every time they face the audience for a choral concert. Now, it's your turn to shine, as you face the audience... in Carnegie Hall... surrounded by a dynamic massed choir of your peers!
Produced by Choirs of America, in association with Harmony Productions, the All Choir Directors Chorus offers choir directors / teaching artists from across North America the unique opportunity to sing together in an amazing choral concert in America's most iconic concert venue... Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium as part of our In Harmony: Enhanced Residency + Concert Performance program!
During this enhanced residency, you'll work together with other choir directors and other participating adult choirs in rehearsals with our Principal Conductor, Jason Max Ferdinand, have the opportunity to share your ideas during the Best Practices Forum (and learn from others), participate in our exclusive Choral Conducting Symposium, rock the Hall during an unforgettable concert, and generally take a big 'ol bite out of the Big Apple... the city that never sleeps!
You'll have plenty of time to see the sights and find amazing restaurants on your own during your visit to NYC... and ample opportunities to connect with colleagues and explore all that Manhattan has to offer.
What You'll Do:
Along with other Choir Directors from across North America, you'll form the All Choir Directors Chorus (or AC/DC for short), and spend a few hours each day (June 19 - 21, 2025) in residency with Jason Max Ferdinand and other participating adult choirs working on exciting, hand-picked repertoire.
Join other participating Choir Directors, and a demonstration choir for a highly educational opportunity to work with one of the nation's best conducting artists, your Principal Conductor, for an instructive Choral Conducting Symposium.
During this inspiring workshop, everyone will be invited by our moderator to discuss best practices in areas such as recruiting & retention, repertoire selection, fundraising, and navigating some of today's key issues through the exploration of choral music.
To cap off this incredible Enhanced Residency, nothing else will do except to perform as part of the
All Choir Director's Chorus in world-famous
Carnegie Hall led by
Dr. Ferdinand... and featuring an incredible all-choir, world-premiere led by our Composer-in-Residence,
Coty Raven Morris!
What You'll Get:
